The Manitoba UNIX User Group (MUUG) will be holding its next monthly meeting on Tuesday, November 12. The meeting topic for this month is as follows: PowerShell Core Kevin McGregor will introduce PowerShell Core, an open-source and cross-platform (Windows, Linux, and macOS) automation and configuration tool/framework that works with your existing tools and is optimized for dealing with structured data (e.g. JSON, CSV, XML, etc.), REST APIs, and object models. It includes a command-line shell, an associated scripting language and a framework for processing cmdlets. AGM Plus, this month's meeting is the MUUG annual general meeting, which includes the election of the MUUG board of directors for the 2019-2020 year (by acclamation). The group holds its meetings at 7:30pm on the second Tuesday of every month from September to June. (There are no meetings in July and August.) Has anyone here installed, successfully or not? If so, what device? Strongly considering doing this on my Pixel2, but it requires a custom compile, as the device is not in the official support list. I would also consider something other than Lineage, if anyone has recommendations.

The Manitoba UNIX User Group (MUUG) will be holding its next monthly meeting on Tuesday, June 11. The meeting topic for this month is as follows: Terraform (feat. Terragrunt) Wyatt Zacharias will present Terraform, an open-source infrastructure-as-code tool maintained by HashiCorp, used to automate deployment of compute resources. Terraform provides a universal configuration language that can define resources across many different platforms. It offers stateful deployment to track and maintain deployed resources. Additionally Terragrunt is an open-source wrapper tool maintained by Gruntworks, which provides additional management features and fills in feature gaps of the vanilla Terraform tool. The group holds its meetings at 7:30pm on the second Tuesday of every month from September to June. (There are no meetings in July and August.)
